CALL BASES

CASA D’ARTISTES (ES FAR CULTURAL) presents the program of sound creation residences to support research and experimentation in the field of sound art or experimental music. The call is aimed at artists who work from the sound and need time to dedicate it to research projects or sound creation. It can be new projects or researches or a work in progress.

A proposal for a creation stay will be selected at the Casa d’Artists (Menorca) from 10 September to 3 October 2021.

What is on offer?

• 1 scholarship (1 artist). Hosting and working space at the Casa d’Artistes (does not include the expenses).
• Travel tickets to Menorca (from Barcelona or Palma) in case the artist lives outside the island.
• 300€ for production
• On October 2, 2021 the selected project (completed or in process) will be performed in Es Claustre (Maó).

How to participate?

You must submit the following documentation in a single pdf document to casadartistes@gmail.com

The index of the document will be as follows:

• Biography / statement.
• Brief letter of motivation.
• Sample of recent work. A minimum of 2 projects and a maximum of 5.
• Artistic CV. It must include personal data (full name, place and date of birth, email, phone number, website or social media links).

The document may be in Catalan, Spanish or English.

• Submission deadline: until August 14, 2021
• Resolution: August 16, 2021
• Stayed between September 8 and October 3, 2021

Acceptance:

• Once the resolution has been notified, the artist will have 5 days to accept or reject the scholarship. By accepting it, the artists undertake to:
• Accept the terms of the call.
• Ensure their participation during the agreed dates (* not postponed).
• Authorize the use of visual and audio documentation for informational purposes and as an archive of the Casa d’Artistes / Es FAR Cultural.
